GEP YL A1 Exam Dolphins

Level A1 is described by the CEFR as the lowest level of generative language.

The YL GEP English Exam A1 tests the young learner’s ability to interact in a simple way, ask and answer simple questions about themselves, where they live, people they know, and things they have.

The GEP YL A1 exam also tests a student’s capacity to initiate and respond to simple statements in areas of immediate need or on very familiar topics.

In general, the GEP YL A1 Exam tests the young learner’s basic ability to communicate and exchange information in a simple way.

Example: the student can ask basic questions about items in a classroom and understand simple answers.

GEP YL A2 Exam

The GEP YL A2 Exam tests the young learner’s general ability to deal with simple, straightforward information and begin to express himself in familiar contexts.

The GEP YL A2 Exam determines the student’s listening ability to understand phrases and expressions related to areas of immediate priority (e.g. very basic personal and family information, games, school, etc.).

The GEP YL A2 Exam also tests a student’s capacity to generally identify the topic of discussion around him and his ability to recognise when speakers agree and disagree in a conversation.
